Dr Asma Shafique leads the Orthodontics department of college of Dentistry, LMDC. She serves as an education scientist in the Department of Medical education (DME) at LMDC, supervisor for fellowship program at College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) and member of subject advisory committee at University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore. She is an examiner for postgraduate and undergraduate examination at UHS, University of Lahore (UoL), National university of management sciences (NUMS) and CPSP. Through these appointments, she actively contributes in teaching & training, assessment, curriculum development, patient care, research supervision and process optimization.
She graduated as Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from de’ Montmorency college of Dentistry. She then served in Align Technology Pakistan, a liaison office of Align Technology USA, and was trained to plan orthodontic treatment with Invisalign clear aligners. She obtained master’s in health science education (MSc. HSEd) from McMaster university, Canada after completing fellowship in Orthodontics at Children Hospital & Institute of Child health and Punjab Dental Hospital from College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP). She is also a fellow of International college of dentistry (ICD) and member of Pakistan association of Orthodontists.
